"We will be back. The food overall was delicious, well executed and good quality. They have a decent selection of breakfast options, scrambled eggs, fried eggs or egg benedicts, bowls, variety of toast and breads and pancake. There were quite some waitresses who were all friendly. We did not have to wait long. The cafe is located on a busy street so it is easily accessible by public transport but a bit trickier to find a parking. The interior is not of my taste but still pretty and welcoming and have possibilities for tables of 2 or more. Nice terasse at the back."

"Great neighborhood cafe I love visiting this cafe for its consistently delicious food. It’s a real asset to our area. I was glad to see they finally switched back to plates after a short (and puzzling) experiment with heavy, partly stone cutting boards that made eating a bit awkward. Now that’s sorted, it’s back to being one of my favorite spots!"

"Third time lucky We have visited twice before - very early on when the cafe had just opened and once more about a year ago . Both times we weren’t so happy ( service was slow and food expensive) We hesitantly decided to try once more today and we were pleasantly surprised. The cafe has really improved. Service was efficient , food excellent and the price very reasonable. I’m so excited for the owners who have managed to incorporate feedback and have done a fantastic job. I recommend !"

"Ich war heute im Café Gretchen frühstücken und war weitestgehend zufrieden gewesen. Die Champignons waren leider kalt serviert aber insgesamt hat das Essen gut geschmeckt. Die Toiletten waren sehr sauber gewesen, nur gab es kein Licht in der einzigen Toilettenkabine bei den Herren. Das hätte man besser lösen müssen, da man ohne Handy Taschenlampe völlig aufgeschmissen gewesen wäre. Der Service war sehr freundlich und ist auf alle Wünsche eingegangen! Ich kann das Café Gretchen auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Ein nächster Besuch steht auf jeden Fall auf dem Plan!"

"The place is full most of the time, the menu is not diverse but I loved eggs Benedict and cappucino with oat milk! So I highly recommend it, as you won’t find anything better in this area."
